The Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival

I’ve been in love with Bigfoot folklore ever since I saw the now iconic Patterson-Gimlin film of the big guy walking through a Northern California glade, then turning around and staring at the camera.

The clip has been analyzed to within an inch of its life and yet no expert will say definitively if it’s really a creature we’ve called Bigfoot for decades or if it’s a man in a suit – even IF this “man in the suit” appeared many years ago.

And to be honest, when he turns his “fur” seems to move like a suit would.

In the summer of 2021, investigators from the Travel Channel’s Bigfoot Expedition thought they had discovered Bigfoot DNA in eastern Kentucky. This part of the country LOVES Bigfoot. And that love extends to southeast Ohio, not too far from the Kentucky border AND into another part of Appalachia.

Walk around this part of the country this summer – especially Logan, Ohio ET on August 5-6 – and you’ll be among those with the same questions and interests as us Bigfoot fans. In fact, Logan is known as the Bigfoot Capital of Ohio – even the coffee emporium has fun there.

It’s called the Hocking Hills Bigfoot Festival and it will feature much more than just stories and information about Bigfoot sightings and everything needed to report on the best cryptid in the land – and a very happy cryptid he is at. the thought of all those people who come to celebrate the possibility of its existence. I mean, look at that smile.

And if you come to this event by Jeep, you will feel right at home during the festival’s Jeep Show.

Also, if you have any questions ahead of time, you can submit them to Cliff and Bobo, a pair of Bigfoot experts who have a podcast called Bigfoot and Beyond with Cliff and Bobo. I don’t know if they’ll be at Logan in August, but take notes from the answers they provide and impress your fellow cryptozoology enthusiasts.

After weathering a winter in which weather events alternated between freezing precipitation and rain on a weekly basis, I’m ready to think about ANY activity this summer.

How about one that sounds as fun as this?
