Grace licenses UNIPOL® PP process technology to Sinochem Hongrun Petrochemical Co., Ltd.

COLUMBIA, Md., April 19, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – WR Grace & Co. (: GRA), the leading independent supplier of polyolefin catalyst technology and polypropylene (PP) process technology, has licensed its UNIPOL® PP Process Technology and its UNIPOL UNIPPAC® Process control software from Sinochem Hongrun Petrochemical Chemical Co., Ltd. (Sinochem Hongrun). UNIPOL® The PP facility, located in Qingzhou, Weifang, Shandong, China will start up in 2022 and will include a reactor line capable of producing 450KTA of polypropylene.

The price increases the total amount of volume licensed for UNIPOL® PP technology in the world to more than 27 million tons per year.
